Manuscript Submission Procedures and Publishing Fees
Papers should be submitted online through the conference website of the Journal of the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers (J. KSMPE).
For online submission, individuals must first register as members through the J. KSMPE website and pay the review fee at the time of manuscript submission. Once the fees and paper have been received, the review process will be commenced.
Paper acceptance procedure:
1. (Member) Register on the J. KSMPE website to become a member
2. (Member) Obtain full membership in J. KSMPE by paying the annual fee (KRW 50,000)
3. (Member) Download the J. KSMPE templates for papers, available in Korean or English, including the cover page, by selecting the “Templates” sub-header on the website
4. (Member) Complete the manuscript using the downloaded template
5. (Member) Submit the completed paper through the website sub-header menu “Submission”
6. (Member) Ensure the paper submission fee has been paid to J. KSMPE
7. (KSMPE) Verify that authors submitting papers are registered as full members or students.
8. (KSMPE) Confirm receipt of the paper submission fee
9. (KSMPE) Assign at least two reviewers from the relevant field to assess the paper
10. (KSMPE) Update the submission progress for authors in the “Submission” menu
11. (KSMPE) Communicate the reviewers’ decision to the authors:
Accepted: Notification via email
Accepted after Revisions: Send comments and guidance for revisions
Reconsidered after Revisions: Provide comments with guidance and request for revised manuscript for further review
Rejected: Inform authors via email
After paper is accepted (Member):
1. Submission of final version of the paper (only minor edits allowed)
2. Payment of publication fee: Standard fee (up to six pages) KRW 200,000; additional KRW 50,000 per page
An additional 50% of the standard publication fee will apply for papers prepared with services or subsidies
Payment method: Online direct deposit (post office account: 611376-02-155489, KSMPE) or through the online payment service at the top of the website
3. Ensure the publication fee has been deposited with KSMPE
Accepted after Revisions (Member):
1. Submission of a compressed file including the revised manuscripts and responses to the review
2. Payment of publication fee
Standard fee (up to six pages) KRW 200,000; additional KRW 50,000 per page
An additional 50% of the standard publication fee will apply for papers prepared with services or subsidies.
Payment method: Online direct deposit (post office account: 611376-02-155489, KSMPE)
or through the online payment service at the top of the website.
3. Ensure the publication fee has been deposited with KSMPE.
Reconsidered after revisions (Member):
1. Revise the paper based on the reviewers’ feedback.
2. Resume the paper acceptance procedure from step 5.
Rejected (Member):
1. Receipts will be issued upon request.
