Manuscript Submission Regulations

Article 1 (Purpose)
The objective of these regulations is to establish submission guidelines for manuscripts submitted to the Journal of the Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers (hereinafter “Society”).

Article 2 (Types)
The Society accepts two categories of manuscripts, with authors required to identify the most applicable category for their submissions:
1. Research Paper: A previously unpublished, fact-based manuscript that contributes to the advancement of the manufacturing industry.
2. Review Article: A manuscript that evaluates specific technologies or research trends within the manufacturing industry.

Article 3 (Format)
1. Manuscripts submitted to and reviewed by the Society are required to adhere to these regulations.
2. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editions to manuscripts submitted for publication.
3. Without exception, all authors and manuscripts must follow the [Guidelines for Preparation of Manuscripts].

Article 4 (Submission)
1. Manuscripts are to be submitted year-round via the Society’s online submission system (review.ksmpe.or.kr), with the date of receipt being when the manuscript is received by the Society.
2. All manuscripts must adhere to the Journal’s specified format.
3. All submissions must conform to the Journal’s guidelines.

Article 5 (Editorial Board)
1. Reviews will be conducted by the Journal’s online system.
2. The peer review process is detailed in the [Regulations on Peer Review Process].
3. To ensure a thorough review and editing process, manuscripts edited within two months from the date of receipt must undergo a final review by the Editorial Board for publication.

Article 6 (Transfer of Copyright)
1. Upon confirmation of publication of a manuscript, the author is required to submit a copyright transfer agreement to the Society.
2. The Society reserves the right to disseminate manuscripts and related materials in print, digital, or any other format.

Article 7 (Others)
Manuscripts not covered by these regulations shall be subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board.
